With this purpose in mind, the 12-page newsletter 'Free Radicals' was launched on July 3rd, 2001. Free Radicals is edited by Jon Mainwaring. A former engineer, Jon has been writing about technology since the mid-1990s. Since then, he has held the positions of technology investment editor at the online financial news service ShareCast and technology analyst at investment bank Durlacher.

As well as editing Free Radicals, Jon – who was recently named AIM Journalist of the Year 2005 by the London Stock Exchange for his writings on the Alternative Investment Market – also contributes to various investment magazines and, occasionally, he has written for national press. He holds two engineering degrees from Cambridge University.
